"Third Viennese Blues" by Michael Holmes

Michael Holmes - Third Viennese Blues A musical palindrome with serial pitches, articulations, and dynamics, written one rainy spring morning in 2004. About Michael Holmes: Michael Holmes's career has encompassed a wide spectrum of musical pursuits, including the fields of historical performance, symphonic conducting, composing/arranging, and scholarly research. He serves as music director of the Orchestra of the 17th Century in Washington D.C., artistic director of the Washington Cornett and Sackbutt Ensemble (one of the USA's premiere period brass ensembles), and director of the University of Maryland Collegium Musicum. He has also performed on an array of period instruments with ensembles such as Stylus Luxurians, the Washington Bach Consort, Opera Lafayette, and Piffaro. Michael has performed extensively as a conductor in Europe, leading symphonic, opera, and historical performances in Poland, Czech Republic, Finland, Romania, and Bulgaria. His conducting teachers have included Jorma Panula, Neeme Järvi, Otakar Trhlík, František Vajnar, and Georg Tintner. As a Fulbright Scholar, he undertook extensive research on Nordic music in Finland, specializing in the music of Sibelius, and sang on two tours with the premiere Finnish male voice choir Ylioppilaskunnan Laulajat (including one at New York's Lincoln Center), and was present during their recording of the Sibelius complete works for male voice choir on the Finlandia label. The Jonas Brothers are an American pop-rock band from Wyckoff, New Jersey made up of three brothers: Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas. They have released two albums - It's About Time in 2006, and Jonas Brothers in 2007, and will release A Little Bit Longer in 2008. Jonas Brothers (2007-2008) After shortly being without a label, the Jonas Brothers signed with Hollywood Records in February 2007.[33][34] Around the same time, brothers began appearing in commercials for Baby Bottle Pops, singing the jingle.[34] On March 24, two additional songs on two different albums were released: "Kids of the Future" from the Meet the Robinsons soundtrack[35] (Based on Kim Wilde's "Kids in America"), and "I Wanna Be like You" from DisneyMania 5.[36] Their self-titled second album, Jonas Brothers, was released on August 7, 2007.[37] It reached number five on the Billboard Hot 200 chart in its first week. Joe plays the lead male role and lead singer "Shane Gray"; Nick plays the role of "Nate," a guitarist; and Kevin plays the role of "Jason," also a guitarist. A soundtrack for the movie was released on June 17, 2008. The movie premiered on June 20 in the USA on Disney Channel, and Canada on Family Channel. It will air around the world throughout the summer. Their Disney Channel reality short series, Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream, premiered on Disney Channel on May 16, 2008. The show, which will tentatively run until September 5, 2008, documents their lives on the Look Me In The Eyes Tour. In the summer, the Jonas Brothers will start their North American tour, the Burning Up Tour, promoting A Little Bit Longer. The tour kicks off July 4, 2008 at Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, Ontario. A Disney Digital 3D production crew will be filming the two shows in Anaheim, CA on July 13 and 14 [41], which will be made into a theatrical movie and will be released in theatres as a 3D concert movie in late January or early February 2009.
